What Are The Best Exercises I Can Do To Tone My Triceps.?
I do that cable pull down (can’t describe it better than that) at the gym to work on my triceps. It’s not really giving me the results that I want.
What do you recommend?
Well you actual have 3 tricep muscles, the long head, the lateral head and the medial head
What I do to work all 3 is
Close Grip Bench press
Reverse Close Grip Bench Press
(when I do those ^^ I use the lockout bech)
Skull Crushers
and I finish them off with weighted tricep dips
when you do dips start off without weight, and then increase the weight if you can.
With all the excercises always have a spotter, warm up 10 reps of 50% of your max, then do 1 rep of 80% of your max, and then do your max. When I do my max as soon as i’m a couple inches from getting it up, I hold it for 20 seconds (static hold) without locking out my arms then I put it up. After your workout drink a protein shake that has lots of carbs and little fat. Your muscles need to recover to grow so, don’t work the same muscles more than once a week.
With any weight lifting you should make sure your getting enough protein and a little fat (for recovery) and enough carbs (for energy). I’m not sure how much because, how much you should have is based on your weight, your bodyfat % and how active you are.
