Problem with Breast Pump – Flanges getting wet?
I’m using an Ameda Purely Yours breast pump and I’m having trouble because the flanges (the hard plastic parts that go directly onto the nipples) keep getting milk in them as I pump and then I loose suction. I have to stop and dry off my breasts and the flanges to get suction. Has anyone else had this problem?
I have the same pump and had the exact same problem. I leaned forward just a little while I was pumping and that really did the trick. It is a bit uncomfortable but it is better than all the starting and stopping. I could not use the wetness to my advantage as I would loose suction also and my nipples were positioned in the center. The only thing I found that works is to lean.
