Pipe Union
where and how to find work as a apprentice welder of full certification as i do not have prior experience?
I am in welding school taking the full pipe course,LIGHT SPEED in Guelph, including tig and stainless steel also. i have no welding experience, I know there are jobs out there, but where, and how? All the listings ask for at least 2 years experience and a good knowledge of blue print reading(which i am in the process of learning)i am willing to travel,I live in S.W. ON. I am willing to start an apprenticeship, or can try any entry welding test. In the iron workers union they say there are no jobs for apprentices(waiting list also very big). The pipe unions that i contacted so far have no programs in place yet. can anyone help and direct me? my info is available upon request.
I don’t know of any place if the unions don’t, nobody does.
