Ins Screwdriver

Electrical… Can 4-5 days of severe rains cause outdoor light to not work…. ?
I have a pair of lights in my front yard and one doesnt turn on while the other does. Same light switch used.. They are raise up off the ground and sit on top of a 5 ft tall brick structure, andstructure is on soil. It rained constantly for 5 days and we don’t see that often in Los Angeles. Is it possible that after the ground dries it will return to working order, or is the light destroyed by rains or other reasons. I tested the connections of wires and inside where the bulbs fit and there seems to be a flow of electricity running thru..(light bulb in screwdriver lights up when touched to wires) How long should I wait for the soil to dry up..
Any answers or suggestions much appreciated
Yes, especially if water gets into the housing or where the wire connections are. It should work again after it’s dried up a bit. Try replacing the bulb.
