Plus Gloves

Exactly what should I wear in snow?
Hi, I’m gonna spend a day at Big Bear in two days and I need to know if what I’m going to wear is ok. For the top I’m gonna wear thermal wear, some t-shirt, a turtle neck, then a polyester jacket. For the bottom it’s thermal wear and over it skinny jeans. My boots are Airwalk boots that look just like Uggs. So it doesn’t get soaked, I’m gonna spray it with Uggs waterproof spray. Plus gloves, a hat (what kind? is a beanie ok??), and long socks under boots. I will have spare socks just in case.
So is this ok to wear to play in snow? Are the layers too much or too little?
If you’re snowboarding or skiing or ddoing any other sport, wear:
-UnderArmour (a VERY good-but-expensive brand–wipes away all sweat all the while keeping you warm and not choking you to death. Worth every penny!)
-fleece mid-layers (fleece pants/vest/jacket)
-waterproof jacket
-waterproof pants
-waterproof boots
-ski socks (Only if skiing. They’re expensive but are worth it. They really make a difference when skiing!)
-beanie or headband to keep your hair out of your eyes
-waterproof gloves
Wear any more than that and you’ll be sweating your ass off!
If you’re only out for tubing/sledding, wear:
-thermalwear
-basic cotton tee/long-sleeve
-waterproof jacket
-waterproof pants
-long socks
-your boots w/waterpoof spray (I recommend snow boots though!)
-beanie
-gloves
TIPS:
-If skiing/snowboarding, STAY AWAY FROM COTTON!!! Cotton gets wet easily and once it gets wet, it STAYS wet! Cotton = wet, wet = cold, cold = BAD SKIING/SNOWBOARDING
-If skiing/snowboarding, really consider buying UnderArmour! Like I said, it gets rid of all the sweat and keeps you warm!
-Keep the clothing to minimum bulkiness. You want to be able to move around, especially if you’re out to play a sport. You’d only want some thin underwear, thin mid-layer, and medium-thick jacket. For the socks, don’t double or triple it. It would only make your feet sweat.
-If you’re skiing, wear some tight boots (not too tight so that your feet are dehydrated). They help keep balance. Oh yeah, and make sure to wear ski socks! They make a big difference! (Cold feet means bad footing!)
-For the gloves, I highly suggest the waterproof kind, whether you’re out for a sport or not. And keep it to minimum bulkiness, like I said before. You don’t want your fingers cramping up or sweating inside and you want as much movement as possible.
DON’T GET WET, BE ABLE TO MOVE, AND HAVE FUN!!!! XD
