Stop start cars are when the engine stops when the car stops at a stop light and when you move your foot to the accelerator, the engine starts up again. Generally these cars don’t have electric motors like a hybrid. The starter motor is upgraded compared to a normal internal combustion engine car to handle the extra number of starts. These cars are also known as pzev or partial zero emissions vehicles.
V2G is Vehicle to Grid. When you park your hybrid car at work, energy that you got during low electricity usage time during the night, is released to the electricity grid during high demand period during work hours. The electricity is then replace later so that you can drive home from work. It’s like time shifting the electrical load on the electric grid.
